As we near the end of 2021, we want to look back at a few of our favorite Advance Design projects from this year. Our team worked hard to produce many projects this year, from kitchens and baths to outdoor living spaces and basements. While every project we complete is unique and special to us, these projects celebrate the creativity and passion that our designers and carpenters show daily.
A First Floor Remodel in West Dundee
We partnered with first-time remodelers Michelle and Chris to completely redesign their first floor. Their home is now naturally functional and flows seamlessly. The new kitchen is like a breath of fresh air for Michelle and Chris, and the new bar area is their favorite element of the remodel. The before and after transformation of this space is one of our favorites. See more of this project here, and be sure to watch the project story above.
“ADS was equipped to handle every part of this renovation from design, through construction, to completion. From beginning to end, our team was professional, creative, patient, responsive, and a pleasure to work with. They exceeded our expectations in every way. For us, there simply was no other choice. It really is Common Sense Remodeling! I can’t wait for our next project!” Michelle said.
A Spacious Inverness Kitchen Remodel
Our most recent kitchen remodel in Inverness is ready just in time for the holidays! This spacious kitchen offers ample storage and a large island workstation with oversized island light fixtures. With custom Dura Supreme cabinetry and quartz countertops with butcher block accents, this kitchen is stunning from every angle, and our top choice for holiday hosting.
A Stunning Kildeer Home Spa
We partnered with Heather and Andrew to bring their master bath vision of glamorous and unique design details to life. It was our pleasure to partner with them and bring their relaxation haven to life. The vaulted shiplap ceiling and Dura Supreme vanity add warm wood tones. The gold Kohler fixtures, tile mix, and black framed glass shower wall create a space to escape and unwind from the craziness of everyday life.
The spacious shower features a rain shower, a large bench, and a pair of vertical niches with hexagonal tile details that match the shower floor. Heated black hexagon tile floors add an extra element of spa-like luxury, making this one of our favorite relaxation havens. Learn more about this project here.
A Hidden Pantry in Huntley
Our most post popular kitchen on social media in 2021, this Huntley kitchen has a spacious walk-in pantry hidden in plain sight adjacent to the refrigerator. Homeowners Richard and Monica came to Advance Design looking for a functional kitchen with ample storage and counter space. The result is just what they envisioned when they began the process. Matte black hardware contrasts the bright white backsplash, countertops, and cabinets, while the stunning blue cabinets complement the dark hardwood floor and stainless-steel appliances. “We were very impressed with how clean and organized the crew kept things while the remodeling process was underway. We love our new kitchen, and we really feel like it fits into the house so well, almost like it had always been this way,” Richard said.
A Buffalo Grove Seasons Room
Each outdoor living space we design is created to be a convenient extension of your home. Natural elements like heavy beams and cedar planking create beautiful, timeless interiors that look great from the outside and inside. From pergolas and porches to enclosed three-season living spaces, each custom-designed outdoor space becomes an extension of your home’s usable living area.
Phil and Laura came to ADS looking for the perfect outdoor living space for their Buffalo Grove home. This seasons room provides comfortable outdoor living space from early spring through late fall. Dual infrared heaters, a ceiling fan, and a four-track stacking window system allow this space to act as a cozy sunroom or breathable screened porch. It is our top choice for functional, versatile outdoor living. View more of our outdoor living projects here.

Besides additional living space, this project includes a spacious kitchen remodel and glass elevator install. We can’t wait to share more as the project continues!
