Christine M. Jurs

Director of Communications

ChristineAs a company owner together with Todd since 2002 (See Company Owner profile for full detail), Christine has performed just about every role in the company except that of a field carpenter. Today she performs her favorite role, a role that she has been creating since day one and has aspired to be able to do since she joined Todd to transform the company.

As the Director of Communications, she has worked to develop “Common Sense Remodeling”, a process for remodeling that is designed to protect homeowners from every pitfall and drawback typically experienced during the “traditional” remodeling process. Communicated creatively through every touch-point and correspondence possible between the company and clients, the idea of the company’s “Common Sense” application is literally everywhere.

“Common Sense Remodeling has literally been born directly from our own experience over the past 24 years of remodeling. Having been for many years a GC and carpentry contractor, Todd experienced firsthand much of the confusion that occurs when multiple companies are involved in projects. The progression of our company and the systems we’ve put in place over that past decade have changed all of that, and solved literally every potential client remodeling problem you hear about and see on TV. If there’s a secret to our success, Common Sense Remodeling is it”, says Christine.

She’s also accelerated to the #1 position of company importance – that the client relationship is the MOST important factor of every encounter. This has been evidenced since 2013 as both Houzz and Guild Quality have awarded Advance Design their highest recognition for client service in each year since. Cynthia Shannon

Director of Finance

Cindi_Support teamAs the company’s Director of Finance, Cindi oversees all aspects of the behind-the-scenes accounts, financial reporting, job costing and client billings.

She is dedicated to providing timely and easy to understand financials to clients, pacing projects with updates and detailed financial reports. When larger projects require coordination with a bank, a title company and complex paperwork like sworn statements; Cindi is expert at navigating the myriad of paperwork and correspondence.

Working with Advance Design since 2003, Cindi has had many years’ experience handling client’s financial procedures, making the process of navigating the financial portion of projects easy for every client.

“I really enjoy working for a company so committed to client satisfaction. Each of us are empowered by leadership to do whatever is necessary to make every situation come out well for the client”, says Cindi.

“I love how leadership combines a “team” atmosphere along with encouraging individual growth, which has allowed me to develop a challenging career here for myself for more than a decade”.

Residing in Marengo, Cindi enjoys spending her free time with her husband Mike and their 5 children boating on Lake Geneva. She is an accomplished equestrian who rides and competes in the local area with her horse Spice.



Katie Esposito

Project Design Administrator 

As the company has continued to grow, the need for an administrative position to help our design and field production teams to keep kitchen and bath projects moving along smoothly became apparent.

Katie has been the perfect fit from the start. She has the unique ability to quickly build meaningful relationships with you as you work through your renovation, addition, or handyman project no matter the size. Her demeanor makes everyone feel comfortable, as you’ll experience when you walk in the door or talk to her on the phone.

“Every day is always something new and I enjoy the challenges that come along,” Katie says. “The atmosphere here is one where everyone cares so much, not only for their clients but for each other.  We all work great together, and that in turn makes the process for clients smooth sailing from start to finish. I am glad that I have the opportunity to be part of this wonderful team.”

Katie earned her Associate’s degree from Lewis University and finished her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix all while working full-time and raising her young daughter. She is extremely organized and claims it is a key to her success in business. Katie is a dedicated and loyal teammate that goes above-and-beyond for clients and co-workers.

Katie lives in Huntley, IL with her husband Brian and 2 children Ally and Bryce. She loves spending time with her family as well as going to Chicago Cubs games and baking.



Rob Mortell

Marketing Coordinator

Clients often comment that the down to earth feeling they get after browsing the website to learn about the company and view ADS’s beautiful kitchens and baths – is one of the most compelling reasons they are drawn to Advance Design.  Understanding that a successful remodeling project is about relationships stemming from a proven process – as the Marketing Coordinator – it is Rob’s desire to communicate the “heart” of the company as well as a solid understanding of how we work which ultimately results in our client’s success.

Rob works every day to be in touch with people, whether it be by surveying our clients to learn what we did well and where we need to turn our attention, or by conveying the advantages of partnering with Advance Design to accomplish whatever home project you have been dreaming about.  So when you read the company blog, see great kitchen and bath graphics, or read about the company in the local magazine, Rob is often behind the great ideas and content you see.

“I came to work at Advance Design because of their incredible reputation for treating both the customers and employees with respect,” Rob says. “They encourage everyone to build a career and the atmosphere is unlike any other place I worked, because they truly care.”

Rob holds his Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from Eastern Illinois University, 2013. A sports lover, he began his career as an Athletic Intern at Wayland Academy before working as a data analyst for several years where he developed skills in detailed analysis critical for tracking marketing results. He brings a creative perspective to the marketing program with his years of previous experience.

Rob lives in Lakemoor, IL with his wife Lindsey. In his spare time he loves to read, golf, and spend time with his family and dog Cooper. He is a fan of the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bulls and Green Bay Packers.
